International Maritime Organization (IMO)

IMO is a specialized agency of the United Nations responsible for improving maritime safety and preventing pollution from ships. The IMO is a technical organization committed to cooperation. Most of its work is carried out in a number of committees and sub-committees, the most senior being the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) .
