The Site Map option

The button (top of any page) will take to the interactive Topic Directory which shows an overview of all the topics in the Atlas. You can directly get to the searched topic by clicking on its name.

The Search option

Anyone looking for ocean related information can type keywords or a phrase into the "Search" box at the top of any page, then click on the button.

The Advanced Search Option

An advanced search is also available by clicking on the button.

In the "Advanced Search" form you can search for information into a specific type of related knowledge or topic by clicking on the relevant tab. Entering more details in the available fields will provide better and more appropriate results. This type of search is always available, either if you navigate as a common user or as a registered member.

The Image Search Option

Searching for images is also possible by clicking on the button at the top of any page.

In the "Image Advanced Search" form you can search for images entering details about caption, author, topic and a range of time during which the image has been added/changed into the Atlas. A list of the most recent images added to the system will also be displayed. Each image thumbnail shows details about caption, credits and keywords, which can be used for next searches. You can view the most recent images by clicking on them. This type of search is always available, either if you navigate as a common user or as a registered member.
