New coral kits help students connect to the Barrier Reef

Outback students have had a rare opportunity to touch specimens from the Barrier Reef with special loan kits. The kits were recently launched to school students in north-west Queensland, more than 700 kilometres from the reef. Museum of Tropical Queensland said the kits were made up of a range of specimens including coral, fish, plankton and crustaceans. Video clip and images.
