The objective of Long-term Monitoring Program of the Australian Institute of Marine Science is to assess status and trends in coral reef communities of the Great Barrier Reef. Assemblages of benthic organisms, coral reef fishes and the crown-of-thorns starfish are assessed in annual surveys at 47 reefs spanning much of the GBR. This seventh report summarises findings up to the thirteenth year of surveys (2005)
