Helen Clark, former New Zealand prime minister, now heads up the United Nations Development Program. She's just been reappointed to the position for another four years. And the story goes that when she resigned from New Zealand politics in 2008 after serving three terms in office, she was flicking through The Economist magazine, saw an advertisement for the UNDP job, applied for it and got it.
