Centre for Marine Microbiology and Genetics Research (CMMG)

The Centre is the first of its type in the Southern Hemisphere. It brings together well-developed Australian regional capability in microbiology, genomics and genetics, marine ecology, biosystematics, biochemistry and evolutionary biology to foster collaborative research on tropical marine biodiversity. New marine biotechnology projects at state, national and international levels will be possible for the first time.
