| | Workshop Outline | | | | Building on the great success of the 1st Biennial Workshop on Ethics on Marine Mammal Research (SMM Conference 2003) we propose to continue the discussion of critical issues related to ethics in our field. The primary focus of this workshop will be “operational” ethics in our research. In particular, we will discuss guidelines for working with animals in the field and lab, principles of professional conduct as a scientist, and issues such as scientific objectivity and resolving contentious issues such as funding disputes. | | | | Workshop Details | | | Chairs:Charles Littnan (NMFS) and Dave Johnston (NMFS) E-mail:charles.littnan@noaa.gov Day/Date: Sunday December 11 2005 Time: All Day | | | | |
