Hotels take shark fin soup off menu

It is estimated that between 26 million and 73 million sharks are killed each year to supply the billion-dollar industry of shark fin soup. Almost a third are consumed during Chinese new year, beginning January 23. A number of hotels in Hong Kong, the centre of the trade, are removing the dish from their restaurants.
