FAO Work on SSFs (restricted)

Small-scale fisheries (SSF) are an important contributor to global food security as well as rural development. Nonetheless, thay have been relatively neglected during the last decade at least, particularly in the major institutional instruments developed during that period. This site is aimed at promoting a more focussed approach to SSF in the FAO work, pulling together the relevant competences available and activities undertaken in the Fisheries Department.
