IMO: Mr. Alfred Popp (Canada) receives International Maritime Prize

The prestigious International Maritime Prize for 2006 has been presented to Mr. Alfred Popp (Canada), former chairman of IMO's Legal Committee.

Mr. Efthimios E. Mitropoulos, Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization, presented the prize during a special ceremony on Monday, 22 October during the 93rd session of IMO's Legal Committee, which is being held in Panama City, Panama, from 22 to 26 October.
