IMO: Governors of World Maritime University bestow title of 'President Emeritus' on Dr. Karl Laubstein

The Board of Governors of the World Maritime University (WMU), meeting in Malmö, Sweden, on 4 June 2008, having been informed that the WMU President, Dr. Karl Laubstein, will step down from his post on 31 July 2008 and that new management will take forward an agreed action plan to implement the recommendations of a recent external strategic review of the University (see IMO Briefing 17/2008), expressed its deep appreciation to Dr. Laubstein for his long and meritorious service to the University and unanimously decided to bestow on him the title of 'President Emeritus'.
