Daily updates on The International Whaling Commission's (IWC) 61st Annual Meeting in Madeira, Portugal held from 22-26 June 2009. Dr William Hogarth, the Chair of the Commission, said that he looked forward to the same level of co-operation and desire for consensus that had characterised recent meetings including on the highest priority item, the future of the IWC.
