Margarita Lizárraga Medal

Abraham Iyambo, Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources of Namibia, has become the first individual to be awarded the Margarita Lizárraga Medal, instituted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and given every two years to a person or organization that has served with distinction in the application of the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries.
