World Veterinary Year 2011

This year has been declared World Veterinary Year, marking the 250th anniversary of the birth of the veterinary profession and of veterinary science. FAO and the European Union are partners in the year. Vets play an important role in the health of the aquaculture industry and in international certification of fish products.
