FAO: Margarita Lizárraga Medal Award 2012-2013

FAO has awarded the Margarita Lizárraga Medal to La Organización del Sector Pesquero y Acuícola del Istmo Centroamericano (OSPESCA) in El Salvador. OSPESCA, a Regional Fishery Body, was selected in recognition of its significant contribution to sustainable fisheries and aquaculture development in the Central American countries and considered a model intergovernmental organization, emulated in other regions for the catalytic effect of its achievements.
