Malaysia airlines MH370 garbage makes debris hard to track

As the protracted search for Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 continues, the prevalence of ocean junk - fishing equipment, lost buoys and clumps of seaweed, among other items - is proving frustrating. In the past three weeks, since the jet disappeared en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, numerous sightings of suspected debris in waters off the West Australian coast have proved fruitless.
