Major conference on biodiversity warns against 'business as usual' behaviour, consumption

The parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity began meeting today as a new United Nations report on the status of biodiversity, Global Diversity Outlook 4, warned that much more efficient use of land, water, energy and materials are needed to meet globally-agreed targets by 2020.
