On May 25th, 2009, Cyclone Aila struck the southwest coastal zone of Bangladesh, destroying Bipasha Rani Mondol's house and badly damaging her family's garment shop. Bipasha's family was selected as a recipient of UNDP recovery efforts. In March 2015 a new Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction is set to emerge at the World Conference on DRR.
