GLOBEFISH newly released a first of its kind report on the role of women in the seafood industry

This desktop research carried out in 2015, explore and shed lights on a very aspect of the seafood industry yet largely ignored, i.e. the presence of women in this industry. Twenty years after the Beijing World Conference on Gender Equity, further efforts to promote equity need to be done in most developing and developed countries, by public and private agents. This work demonstrates that the seafood industry is, by far, no exception.
