On World Fisheries Day Canada pledges to remain vigilant, proactive

World Fisheries Day, November 21, is a day to celebrate a resource that nurtures and nourishes millions of people in thousands of communities around the world. It is also an opportunity to remind ourselves that much work has yet to be done or we could place at risk a food source that has sustained humankind down through the ages, says Fisheries and Oceans Canada in a release.
