Field Guide to Australian Sharks & Rays

Books - Book
31 Jan 2007 -
Australia has an extremely diverse shark and ray fauna. There are more than 300 different species and at least half of these are thought to only occur in our waters. This user-friendly guide was developed by CSIRO, the Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) and the Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC) so that fishers, observers, and scientists can easily identify the main Australian target and bycatch species of sharks, rays and chimaerids. It includes full colour illustrations, distribution maps and descriptions, which will be of interest to divers, naturalist and students in aquatic science. See also the new book Sharks and Rays of Australia. Second Edition.
