Turtles of the World
Multimedia - DVD
30 Nov 1999
Turtles of the World is a follow-up to the 1989 book of the same title by Carl H. Ernst and the late Roger W. Barbour. This DVD-ROM, prepared in collaboration with ETI editor Ruud G.M. Altenburg, covers all currently recognized taxa (as of December 1997) and adds an interactive, searchable distribution module, a glossary with 1000 scientific terms, and color pictures for virtually every (sub)species. A large number of turtles researchers from all over the world has worked with ETI to ensure that the texts and distributions are as accurate as possible. These specialists also made it possible that over 1400 images could be incorporated, including pictures of some species which have not yet been described.
