European Project on Ocean Acidification
Projects
31 May 2008 - 31 May 2013
The "European Project of Ocean Acidification" (EPOCA) is the EU initiative to investigate "Ocean acidification and its consequences". After its favorable evaluation, it should start in May 2008 for a period of 4 years. The kick off meeting will take place in Nice (France) on 10-13 June 2008. The overall goal of EPOCA is to fill the numerous gaps in our understanding of the effects and implications of ocean acidification. The project comprises 16 work packages. The EPOCA consortium comprises 105 PIs from 29 laboratories located in 9 countries. It is coordinated by Jean-Pierre Gattuso assisted by an Executive Board (Fabrice Berthier, Jelle Bijma, Marion Gehlen, Ulf Riebesell and Carol Turley).
