The 'OceanPortal resource locator' is a high-level directory of Ocean Data and Information related web sites. Its objective is to provide a one-stop-shop for scientists and other ocean experts to locate such data and information by providing a single point of access to aggregated resources. Users can search the Portal for existing links, submit new links, modify an existing link or report a broken link. When submitting a new link, users can select the Category that best describes the site. The current list of categories includes: Associations/NGOs Data Searches Designated Data Centres Equipment and Services Expertise Information Searches Meetings and Events Ocean Libraries Online Data Servers Online Library Catalogues Research Vessels New category names can also be suggested.
