New Zealand Antarctic Institute

Advancing knowledge, appreciation and conservation, of Antarctica and the Southern Ocean For the benefit of New Zealand and the world community The New Zealand Antarctic Institute is the body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal. It has a board of six members, a core staffing in Christchurch of twenty, and a temporary staffing in Antarctica of between ten and fifty depending on the time of year and the level of activity. Our locations are at the International Antarctic Centre in Christchurch and at Scott Base on Ross Island in Antarctica.
