Description: The mission of the World Aquarium is to increase the knowledge of the aquatic life and environments, to enable people to conserve our world's warter, and to provide leadership for the preservation and sustainable use of natural resources. The World Aquarium is an expansion of the St. Louis Children's Aquarium and established programs in education, research and study of the Mississipi River, the Amazon River, and the Oceans. The aquarium is an istitute of learning that encourages children to better understand the world bringing the world to them through media, on-site, and outreach modalities. The World Aquarium will become the focal point of innovative research into our global quality of life, which makes the facility and its programs an epicenter of worlwide creativity and collaboration. The World Aquarium will also provide recreational activities that engage diverse interest and develop community involvment and interaction.
