Description: Ennio Lepri is from Rome. He took his degree in computer science at the University of Rome "La Sapienza". His thesis on 'Digital Libraries' included participation in the European Union funded project LAURIN - Libraries collecting newspaper Articles Unified foR their Integration into Networks. He subsequently worked for 3I, an IBM partner company located in Rome, on a number of projects for the Italian Ministries of Justice and Finance and for LUISS - Libera Universita' Internazionale degli Studi Sociali. Since April 2001 he has been working for the FAO in the AFIS (Administrative and Financial Information Systems / Technical Systems Group) Department, and is currently involved in the development of the UN Atlas of the Oceans.
