Description: The Department for Maritime Research and Innovation of the University of Southern Denmark is obligated to conduct research and education and to assist the conveyance of innovation and knowledge in The Blue Denmark and to the rest of the transport and logistics industry, which is linked to The Blue Denmark. The department therefore has obligations resembling independent research units but is an integrated part of the University of Southern Denmark. The department is, among other things, primus motor behind the Master programme in Transport and Maritime Management and The Blue University � a platform for cooperation between knowledge milieus in Denmark that to a large extent work with and within the maritime sector. Additionally the department participates in several relevant international research and education networks.
