Description: Gangavaram Port is likly to be fully operational by October 2008. Approach channel is dredged to 20 mtrs, depths at coal berth (2 ship unloaders) and iron ore berth (1 ship loader) are 19.5 mtrs. In addition there are 3 other multipurpose berth with mobile harbour cranes.Berths are connected by a conveyer system to the stackyards which are equiped with stackers/recaimers, wagon loaders and tippers. The port also has 2 locomotives and 7 kms of rail track
